Have you ever experienced the feeling of ice cold water on your body?
Well you should!
Firstly, I started showering every day in cold water when I was a teenager, I just loved the feeling, it was so refreshing!
Then, I first discovered Wim Hoff, an incredible man, that dove deep into icy waters, swimming until his retainers froze. With his amazing breathing technique, he could control the temperature of his body.
The picture is the first time (that I can remember) swimming wild, in the cold morning water.
Joanna showed me that you can swim anywhere!
I will be swimming wild in many more places around the United Kingdom, especially in waterfalls, as it sparks the joy and feeling of being alive!
I have learnt from my first time, to not stay in the water for too long...
As when I came out of the water, I went pink! I was also very numb, and could not feel my hands or feet. Understandable why this can be a dangerous but thrilling hobby!
I now know to focus entirely on the breath and encourage/increase my body temperature before entering ice cold water again.
So I would like to say a special thank you to Joanna, for showing me, that you can swim wild anywhere! <3
